Daggers Back On Track

The Daggers got back to winning ways today with a 3-1 victory over Altrincham at Victoria Road.

Jamie Taylor put the home side in front in the 11th minute, heading home from Sam Saunders' (right) cross.

Ten minutes later and the visitors were back on level terms thanks to an impressive Colin Little strike.

In the second half, though, the Daggers showed why they are the Champions and scored three goals without reply to put the match beyond Alty.

Glen Southam fired home from Paul Benson's cross in the 59th minute to restore the lead and, with eight minutes to go, Chris Moore (left) made it 3-1 from the penalty spot after Ben Strevens was fouled by Karl Munroe.

With time running out, Sam Saunders completed the scoring when he converted Glen Southam's (right) cross.

The win leaves the Daggers on 91 points for the season, 13 points ahead of second placed Oxford United.

In League 2, a 3-0 defeat for Boston United at Hereford United coupled with excellent wins for Wrexham, Accrington and Macclesfield, sees the Cheats slip back into the relegation zone. Full League 2 round-up to follow.
