DAGGERS DICTIONARY

"Wordsworth"
A player with an excellent reputation at other clubs who singularly fails to live up to it when he joins you and yet returns to form as soon as he leaves.

The Daggers lost 2-0 to Morecambe on Saturday at Christie Park to a goal in each half.

The first goal was a strange one, Chris Moore slicing into his own net from some distance after just 7 minutes. The Daggers played alright in patches taking the game to the home side who remain unbeaten at home but agian had little luck.

At half time Ashley Vickers replaced Craig Mackail-Smith who worryingly looked to have picked up a knock with the squad already down to the bare bones.

After an even second half it was Morecambe's Wayne Curtis that sealed the game with a tap in from David Perkins cross. The Daggers kept going forward but it was all for nothing in the end.

The Daggers drop to 10th and are six points off the playoff positions.

Full report to follow.
