The Daggers opened their campaign on the road with a goalless draw at Crawley Town. An unchanged team began the game, hoping to build on their 3-1 win over Southport on the saturday.

The Daggers created the opening chance, Shane Blackett heading a Paul Bruce free-kick just wide of the home-side's goal. The first half was a quiet one, at the visitor's end a sliding Richard Hodgson just failing to divert a Wormull free-kick goalwards while at the other end good work by Mackail-Smith lead to Chris Moore having a shot well saved by Phil Smith.

The 2nd half was almost all Crawley, with the Daggers only having one notable effort on the home side's goal. Chris Moore one again having a shot well-saved after a through ball from Southam. Crawley on the other hand were causing no-end of problems. Tony Roberts did well to push a shot over the ball from Lee Blackburn and from the resulting corner Roberts' savour being the crossbar after being beaten by an Ian Simpemba header. The rebound was also saved on the line thanks to a joint effort from Southam and the visitor's keeper.

Although caused more problems late-on, the Daggers held out for a draw to keep their unbeaten start to the season in-tact.

The Daggers are now 6th in the league table, where they hope to continue their run by visiting Tamworth on saturday.
