Daggers pre-season continues
The Daggers have played three more "first team" friendlies in pre season warm up, all away from the Glyn Hopkin Stadium. Brief reports are below.

The next game at the Glyn is Saturday's game against Leyton Orient, which kicks off at 3pm.

Rare draw at Ship Lane
Thurrock 1 Dagenham & Redbridge 1 - Wednesday 20th July, 7:45pm ko

A Lee Goodwin 89th minute header grabbed a late equaliser for the Daggers at Ship Lane after Thurrock took a 17th minute lead. Given the Daggers dismal record at the home of PurfleetThurrock this result has to be viewed as a positive for the coming season.

Pictures of the game are in the 2005/06 Gallery.

Dagenham & Redbridge: 1. Tony Roberts, 2. Danny Foster, 3. Scott Griffiths (16. Sam Wood 61mins), 4. Shane Blackett, 5. Anwar Uddin, 6. Lee Goodwin, 7. Sam Saunders, 8. Glen Southam (12. Ram Narwa 45mins), 9. Tresor Kandol (Craig Mackail-Smith 45mins), 10. Chris Moore, 11. Paul Bruce (17. Fraser Toms 69mins)
Subs: 14. Tim Cole, 18. David Hogan

Daggers take local honours
Barking & East Ham United 1 Dagenham & Redbridge  - Saturday 23rd July, 3pm ko

After originally looking to take two even strength teams to simultaneous matches at Barking and Maidenhead, John Still actually took the full first team on the short trip to Lodge Avenue to face Barking & East Ham United.

After an early scare when an O'Sullivan goal put the home side ahead, the superiority of the Daggers squad shone through, Tresor Kandol and Ashley Vickers both scoring twice as they stretched away in what was an entertaining game.

Sam Wood played as left back for the first 45 minutes as a triallist and impressed many observers, including John Still it is reported.

Dagenham and Redbridge: 1. Tony Roberts, 2. Danny Foster, 3. Anwar Uddin, 4. Ashley Vickers, 5. Sam Wood (14. Scott Griffiths 45mins), 6. Lee Goodwin, 7. Glen Southam, 8. Rambir Marwa, 9. Paul Bruce (12. Sam Saunders 50mins), 10. Tresor Kandol (15. Craig Mackail-Smith 78mins), 11. Paul Benson (16. Robert Still 78mins)

Thrashed in Maidenhead
Maidenhead United  4 Dagenham & Redbridge 1 - Saturday 23rd July, 3pm ko

As a result of taking the first team to Barking, it was pretty much a reserve team that travelled across London to Maidenhead with Gordon Boateng.

It was unsurprising then that a full strength Maidenhead proved to strong, running out easy winners. The Daggers only goal came from Bai Mas Lettlejallow who headed home Fraser Toms' second half free-kick.

Dagenham and Redbridge: 1. David Hogan (27. Neil Tilley 45 mins), 2. Lee Wilson, 3. Anthony Churchhouse (14. Simon Ullthorne 45mins), 4. Michael Filletti, 5. Danny Kirksby, 6. Bai Mas Lettlejallow, 7 Liam Francis, 8. James Elmes (Reece Prestedge 26mins), 9. Peter Hinks (15. Andy Chapman 45mins), 10. Scott Atkinson, (12. Kieran Deane 60mins) 11. Fraser Toms (17. Sony Farr 65mins)
