Squad news

One In, One Out
by Hardy on 21/10/2004

The Daggers sign a new keeper, and Danny Hill is on his way.

One In, One Out
The Daggers have announced a couple of squad changes ahead of this weekend's game at Farnborough.
Martin Brennan
The Daggers have announced the signing of goalkeeper Martin Brennan.

The former Cambridge United trainee has been registered with Stevenage Borough this season and joins the Daggers for an initial period until the end of the season.

As a result Nick Bussey has returned to Arlesey and Martin will take squad number 27.

Danny Hill
Danny Hill is moving to Hornchurch this afternoon as John Still looks to make money available for new arrivals. Danny rejoins Garry Hill who signed him originally for the Daggers and brings to six the number of ex-Daggers currently playing at Bridge Avenue.

Danny Hill started his career as a Tottenham Hotspur trainee and was at the club from 1992 to 1998, making a total of 13 first team appearances. During his time at Spurs he also had loan spells at Birmingham City, Watford and Cardiff City making a total of 15 appearances with these clubs. In summer 1998 Danny signed for Oxford, making 10 appearances for United before quickly moving on to Cardiff City that November. After 69 appearances and 4 goals for Cardiff, Danny signed on a free transfer for the Daggers in the July 2001.

He has had a habit of scoring spectacular goals but has never really broken into the team as an absolute first team regular much more often on the bench. This season he has made very few starts under John Still.

DiggerDagger.com wishes Danny all the best for the future.
