The Daggers signed highly rated Arlesey Town winger Craig Mackail-Smith
for an undisclosed fee during the Summer 2004. Craig terrorised the
Daggers over two games in the FA Trophy 4th round in 2003/04 and was
expected to be moving to Stevenage Borough during the close season. That
he signed for the Daggers is another minor coup for John Still.
Mackail-Smith scored twice in the FA Trophy replay and won the penalty
that made it 2-3 at the Glyn Hopkin Stadium and will be another welcome
addition to the squad for next season. He previously came through the
youth system at St Albans City.
