Daggers Win Southam 'Testamonial'
by Nelson on 07/09/2004

The Daggers win a friendly match against Bishop's Stortford

Daggers Win Southam "Testamonial"
The Daggers tonight beat Bishop's Stortford 2-1 in a friendly match at Woodside Park in a match billed by Stortford as Glen Southam's testamonial match.

The hosts took the lead in the first half but goals from Matthew Judge and Craig Mackail-Smith handed the visitors the win.

Man-of-the-match for the Daggers was, undoubtedly, captain Danny Hill, who was outstanding.

Warren Barton (right) made his debut in a Daggers shirt but was clearly lacking in match practice and failed to impress.

Glen Southam came on for the last eight minutes of the match.

Dagenham & Redbridge (substitute details to follow): Abiodun Baruwa, Danny Foster (Jamie Smith 61), Danny Cross (Richard Pike 61), Warren Barton, Scott Griffiths (Andrew Burke 61), Craig Mackail-Smith, Danny Hill, Jack Midson, Warren Ryan (Glen Southam 82 mins), Howard Newton (Matthew Judge 45), Tony Boot (John Purches 45).
