Scored The Daggers Goal

Glen Southam scores as the Daggers lose 3-1 against Grays Athletic.

Daggers Fail To Shine
The Daggers tonight suffered a poor 3-1 defeat at the hands of near neighbours, Grays Athletic.

Fielding a strong team that looks largely to be the first choice team, the Daggers surprisingly failed to make their mark on the match and only have a Glen Southam goal to take from the game.

The Daggers fell behind on 28 minutes when Dean Brennan  volleyed the ball home after losing his marker, Shane Blackett.

Tony Roberts (right) did well to save at close range just after the interval and the visitors levelled on 49 minutes when Glen Southam beat two defenders before slotting the ball home.

On 66 minutes, the hosts took the lead again when Chris Wilde prodded a loose ball home.

With ten minutes remaining, the Daggers fell another goal behind when a cross eluded everyone and fell into the net.

Dagenham & Redbridge: Tony Roberts, Anwar Uddin, Shane Blackett (Lee Flynn 58 mins), Lee Goodwin, Ashley Vickers, Jake Leberl, Mark Janney, Glen Southam, John Taylor, Tony Boot (Chris Moore 58 mins), Craig Mackail-Smith (Shaun Byrne 58 mins). Unused Substitutes : Nick Bussey, Jake Midson, Danny Hill, Tony Perfect, Warren Ryan
