The Daggers twice come from behind to draw with Orient

Daggers Hold Orient
In their last home match of the pre-season campaign, the Daggers twice came from behind to draw 2-2 with Leyton Orient at The Glyn Hopkin Stadium.

The Daggers nearly took the lead as early as the 2nd minute when Chris Moore (right) blocked a clearance from the Orient 'keeper, but the rebound missed the target.

With only 6 minutes gone, the Daggers fell behind when O's striker, Lee Steele got on the end of a free-kick from Lockwood.

Orient almost doubled their advantage in the 12th minute but Tony Roberts (left) was equal to Alan White's effort and on 34 minutes, Roberts did well to save from Jabo Ibehere.

The start of the second half saw the Daggers back on level terms, 10 minutes after the break.   Craig Mackail-Smith broke through the visitors' defence and played the ball to Chris Moore who had the open goal at his mercy and he made no mistake to drill the ball home from close range.

On 71 minutes, the Daggers had a chance to take the lead when, after some great work from Mark Janney (right), John Taylor rounded the keeper but the ball was cleared to safety.

Two minutes later and Janney was again causing all sorts of problems for the Orient defence.  He crossed the ball towards both Taylor and Tony Boot but the ball was cleared off the line by Brian Saah.

In the 75th minute, the Daggers had another chance to move in front but Tony Boot was unable to keep his shot down.

With only 7 minutes remaining, Gary Alexander latched on to a long ball from Billy Jones to put the O's back in front.

Less than two minutes later, the Daggers got the equaliser through John Taylor when he fired home Boniek Forbes' (left) cross.
