Alan Kimble was signed by the Daggers having been released by Luton Town
in the close season of 2003.
He started his career at Charlton as a trainee, playing 6 times before
being released and joining Cambridge United in 1986. He played one game on
loan with Exeter. At Cambridge he played over 300 games, scoring 24 times
until Wimbledon came in for him in the summer of 1993 for £175,000.
In the next nine season Alan played well over 200 games for the Don's
scoring just once, in the league cup against Huddersfield, but becoming a
regular in the Premiership side until they were relegated in 2000. By 2002
his first team chances were limited and after a brief loan at
Peterborough. Signed by Luton on a free in the summer of 2002 he made just
16 appearances for the Hatters last season.
After making a couple of appearances for the Daggers on a non-contract
basis, Alan earned himself a contract to take him to the summer of 2004.
