James Pullen (picture copyright Dave Simpson) sign in August 2003 on 3 months loan as cover for Tony Roberts.

James was with Ipswich Town from September 1999 until he was released in the summer of 2003, but made just 2 first team appearances for the Tractor Boys. He started his career with Essex club Heybridge Swifts. James was loaned to Blackpool for pretty much the whole of the 2001/02 season and made 21 first team appearances for them.

James has stated that he is looking to play in the Football League and has therefore limited the length of his Daggers contract.
