Leon
Braithwaite joined the Daggers from Margate, for whom he was player of the
year in 2002/03. He is a versatile centre-forward and is capable of
playing on both the left and right of the field.
He
has previously played for Welling (twice) and
St Patricks in Ireland. He tasted the Football League for three
seasons between 1995 and 1998 with Exeter City having started his career
with Bishops Stortford.
In
2002/03 he scored 12 goals in total for Margate and, during his career,
has scored over 40 goals, averaging a goal every four matches.
