Daggers Crash Out Of Essex Senior Cup
The Daggers tonight crashed out of this season's Essex Senior Cup, losing 4-1 at home to Southend United.

With the Daggers having been in action last night, it was left to mainly a mixture of reserve and youth players to battle out the Fourth Round tie at Victoria Road in front of a meagre crowd of only 263. The only first team regulars appearing for the home side were Steve Potts and Mark Rooney (left).

The Shrimpers took an early two nil lead before half time courtesy of goals from Rob Newman and Mark Salter within the space of a minute.
The second half saw Vaughan pull a goal back early in the half, but Salter scored a second and Joe Ilett added a fourth for the visitors to put the result beyond doubt.

The Daggers are now left with the play-offs as the main objective for the rest of the season, but Saturday's FA Trophy clash with Southport will be at the forefront of their minds.
