Recent History

The club was founded in 1964 as Langney Football Club and competed in district league football until, as Langney Sports FC it was elected as a founder member of Division 3 of the Sussex County League in 1983.

In the next 17 seasons the clubs fortunes continued to rise with the club seeing a series of promotions and an appearance in the Sussex Senior Cup final in 1992, lost 1-0 to Brighton & Hove Albion. In 1999/2000 they won the Sussex County League to gain promotion to the Dr Martins League Eastern Division and in their first season finished a credible 9th place.

Langney Sports FC was renamed to Eastbourne Borough FC at the start of the current season as it was felt that the name reflected more the status of the club at senior level and was more likely to attract sponsorship.

Their ten season league record stands as follows
